“Remember” is the theme of RootsTech 2024, a three-day global online family celebration conference originating in Salt Lake City, Utah, from 29 February through 2 March.
RootsTech, hosted each year by FamilySearch International and supported by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, is the largest family history event in the world. It includes an in-person event in the Salt Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake City to complement its online experience.
Millions of virtual and in-person attendees are expected to participate for inspiring keynote addresses, instructive classes, innovative technologies, and the ability to help them remember and celebrate their family, life, adventures and memories.
“It is a natural human behavior to remember the pivotal experiences in our life and those people who have made an impact,” said Jen Allen, director of events at FamilySearch. “RootsTech 2024 will help us remember the people and experiences but also help us consider how we want to be remembered in the future.”
Jan-Friedrich Hadzik, a member living in Germany said, “Three years ago was the first time I attended a RootsTech conference online. It was so easy to connect from home and incredible to see hundreds of family history buffs come together to learn, laugh and socialize. To see a large stage showcasing modern technology and celebrities talking about their family stories was fantastic. It really is, as President Nelson said, a force for peace and love. Have not missed any RootsTech since.”
Family Discovery Day
Family Discovery Day is a one-day event designed specifically for Latter-day Saints on the last day of RootsTech, 2 March, from 9:00 to 15:00 (Mountain Standard Time).
