In September 2026, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints’ Panduri Chapel in Bucharest
marks 20 years since its dedication. To celebrate this anniversary, the Church invites the general
public to discover the place, people, and values that have been part of this community’s story over
the past two decades.
From September 25–27, Panduri Chapel will host activities, presentations, and meetings about
faith, family, history, religious freedom, and service. It is an opportunity to learn more about the
Church and how Latter-day Saints seek to live their faith and contribute to the community.
A Place Dedicated to Learning, Faith, and Service
“We dedicate this chapel to be a place of learning, a place of preaching, a place of building
testimony, and a place where the true Gospel of Jesus Christ may be taught in purity, humility, and
love,” said President John Ashby in the chapel’s 2006 dedication prayer. It was to be “a place for
strengthening relationships among people” and one where peace and love would bring people
closer to one another and to God.
Two decades later, these words remain relevant to the community that gathers here. Panduri Chapel
is a place where people learn, worship, serve, strengthen their families, and seek to live according
to the teachings of Jesus Christ.
