On March 29, 2025, European specialists for JustServe gathered at the temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints in Frankfurt to discuss the future of service to others. Under the leadership of Elder EmanuelPetrignani, Area Seventy in the Europe Central Area, and Louis and Esther Weidmann, JustServe Specialists for Central Europe, the meeting served as a platform for inspiration and strategic planning.
Frankfurt: JustServe, an initiative of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, aims to motivate and empower people to do good through volunteer work in their communities. For Elder Petrignani, this is more than just a social initiative; it is a commitment in the spirit of Jesus Christ Himself. "Jesus Christ taught us to serve one another. JustServe is a way to practically follow His teachings and make a positive impact on the world around us," Elder Petrignani emphasized during the meeting.
Louis Weidmann, who led the discussion on the future development of JustServe, highlighted the importance of active community engagement. "When we serve others, we not only strengthen our communities but also our own spiritual and emotional connections," Weidmann said. He further emphasized that the tradition of service is deeply rooted in human history and is being realized in a modern way through JustServe.
JustServe acts as a platform that enables individuals and organizations to support those in need and improve the world around them. Whether through volunteer work in local soup kitchens, environmental projects, or assisting disadvantaged groups, the opportunities to get involved are diverse and meaningful.
Elder Petrignani encouraged the conference participants to share their experiences and ideas to further strengthen and expand JustServe. "Every contribution counts," he said. "It is the small and consistent acts of charity that bring about the greatest change."
Louis Weidmann echoed this thought, stating, "Through JustServe, we experience the true joy and fulfillment that come with serving others. It is a way to put our values into action and live in harmony with the Gospel."
The commitment to JustServe is not limited to a specific religion or worldview but is open to all who are willing to help others and promote community values. By actively participating in JustServe, people—regardless of their background or beliefs—can make a positive difference in society.
JustServe is gaining increasing significance in Europe as more volunteers recognize the benefits of community engagement. More information and projects can be found at justserve.org
