Rita Dánielné Mester to become first Europe Central Area Communication and Publishing Director

New professional communication role in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Europe Central Area will combine several communication functions into one expanded department and has named Rita Dánielné Mester from Hungary as the first Area Communication and Publishing Director.

Rita Dánielné Mester was hired by the Church as Publishing Services Manager in August of 2023 and will assume her new role on 1 August 2024. She comes with two decades of experience in marketing and advertising, working with global and regional European clients and brands.

The new department will lead and support the Church’s continued efforts to create and spread messages of hope and inspiration based on the gospel of Jesus Christ and engage with internal and external audiences.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is a global Christian church with a community of more than 17 million members worldwide. The Europe Central Area is one of 23 administrative and support regions. It is headquartered in Frankfurt am Main and covers 37 countries, with over 226,000 members and almost 700 congregations.
