DOWNLOADAs part of a 12-day visit to the Europe Central Area, Sister Kristin M. Yee, Second Counselor in the Relief Society General Presidency, the Church’s worldwide organization for women, will meet with members, young adults, missionaries and humanitarian partners in Germany, Austria, Cyprus and Spain.
Her ministry will include leadership training for women serving in the Church’s Relief Society, Young Women and Primary organizations, meetings with sister missionaries and young single adult sisters, a humanitarian visit in Austria, and leadership instruction broadcast to members throughout Cyprus and Greece. She will also speak at the Impact Young Single Adult Conference in Friedrichsdorf, Germany and at a special devotional for volunteers who assist in the operation of the Madrid Spain Temple.
In Germany, Sister Yee will be accompanied by Elder Jack N. Gerard, President of the Europe Central Area, who will preside at her meetings there. Elder James W. McConkie III, Counselor in the Europe Central Area Presidency, will accompany her at the YSA conference and continue with her in Austria and Cyprus. Elder Michael T. Cziesla, Counselor in the Europe Central Area Presidency, will join her in Spain.
Sister Yee sees these opportunities as part of the lifelong process of deepening a relationship with God. “When we enter into a covenant with God, it’s just the beginning — the beginning of a beautiful and powerful covenant relationship with Him,” she said. “We have the opportunity to grow in our discipleship and deepen our covenant relationship with God throughout our lives — each stage preparing us for the next.”
“Sister Yee’s visit will strengthen the Area’s efforts to help individuals and families develop lifelong discipleship in Jesus Christ,” said Elder Gerard.
