New Europe Central Area Office opens its doors

On Thursday, 30 November 2023, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints hosted an open house to celebrate the opening of their new Europe Central Area office in Frankfurt am Main. Special guests from government, religious, humanitarian, educational, and business organisations visited the open house and joined guided tours through the Phoenix Haus offices in Frankfurt’s Nieder-Eschbach district.

Elder Jack N. Gerard, counsellor in the Europe Central Area Presidency, welcomed guests as they began their tour of the offices, which form the heart of the Church's administrative and outreach activities in Europe. Guests proceeded to meet office staff who described the various programmes and services coordinated from this new facility. Previously, the local Europe Central Area workforce had been located in five different facilities across the larger Frankfurt area.

On Saturday, 2 December 2023, employees at the area office welcomed their own families to another open house.

The Europe Central Area is one of 23 administrative and support areas of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and covers 37 countries, with more than 226,000 Church members and almost 700 congregations.
