Kirchentag in Hannover aimed to connect and encourage

Latter-day Saints among the participants

“The Kirchentag is like coming home. To empower us to go back to our daily lives more courageously, strongly and resolutely,” Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier said at the opening of the 39th German Protestant Church Assembly (“Kirchentag”). Not only Protestant believers gathered in the Lower Saxony state capital of Hannover from 30 April to 4 May 2025.

Among the tens of thousands of participants were also members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
