Katholikentag is a major five‑day Catholic gathering in Germany that takes place every two years in a different host city. It brings together tens of thousands of people – not only Catholics, but also Christians of other denominations, people of other religions, and anyone interested in faith, society, culture, and politics.
DOWNLOADWords from the Gospel of Mark, “Hab Mut, steh auf” (“Be of good comfort, rise”) served as the motto of this year’s Katholikentag held 13-17 May in Würzburg.
Members and officers of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints were also present in Würzburg. They attended events, listened, held conversations, and took part in receptions hosted by political parties and foundations. The local congregation opened their meetinghouse for a film screening of an interdenominational documentary project.
