Delegates of twelve interfaith roundtables from around the German state of Hesse gathered in Hanau on Sunday, 5 May 2024, for only the second state-wide Convention of Councils of Religion.
The Hanau Interfaith Roundtable served as this year’s host of what is intended to be an annual event. All sessions were held at the Baitul Wahid Mosque.
A multi-religious devotional prior to the official opening included prayers and citations from holy books by local Catholic, Protestant, and Jewish congregations, the Islamic Information and Encounter Centre, and the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat as well a vocal performance by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
