President Dieter F. Uchtdorf, President of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, will journey to cities and congregations throughout the region later this month.
He will meet with local members and missionaries, sharing messages focused on discipleship, compassion, and unity in a diverse and changing world.
Though these visits are religious in nature, he is also deeply focused on listening, encouragement, and personal connection in diverse cultural settings.
President Dieter F. Uchtdorf will visit Austria, Germany, and the Czech Republic.
Born in the Czech Republic, raised in Germany, and long connected to Europe, President Uchtdorf’s visit carries particular meaning for many local members who view his presence as both inspirational and familiar.
His public ministry will include worship services and gatherings with local congregations.
In 2016, President Uchtdorf participated in the creation of the Church’s first stake, a grouping of congregations, in the Czech capital.
Returning nearly a decade later provides an opportunity to reflect on growth, resilience, and the steady presence of faith in a changing world.
President Uchtdorf’s testimony emphasizes faith in Jesus Christ not as an abstract concept, but as a lived experience, expressed through service, kindness, and meaningful relationships, values that extend beyond church walls and into the communities where members live and serve.
