Church in Europe launches new app for rising generation

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Europe has extended their channel experience for young adults: A new app called „Rising Generation“ can now be downloaded for Android and Apple devices.

Young adults across Europe can upload their events and notify others quickly about what is going on in their region. The connected website risinggeneurope.org has been enhanced with a more structured design and new features. Furthermore, the young adults are invited to connect with each other on social media via their Instagram and YouTube channels.

“With this new app, we aim to provide a platform for all young adults, to never miss out again on all the amazing activities, while staying in control of all the push notifications,” said Tom Erhart, one of the app developers from Switzerland. “We hope it will help to better gather together, strengthen each other, and have joy in Jesus Christ,” he continued.

App users are able to configurate push notifications, based on countries and regions. Posting of events can be done without registration. If one wants to change their posted events, it can be done by signing up via e-mail address.

I am excited for the young adults to have this new resource, which will help them to stay connected as a community and follow together our Savior Jesus Christ,” says Elder Yves Weidmann, an Area Seventy from Switzerland, who is supporting young adult communications' in Europe.

There are over 15’000 participating young adult members of the church in Europe, with a desire to love God, connect with each other and strengthen their community.
