There were 24 enthusiastic Young Single Adults that were members and friends of the church that gathered in Kocaeli, Türkiye for an enriching event to encourage them to “Arise and Shine in His Light”. They all had to ‘arise’ early to catch planes, buses or trains to arrive at the Ness Thermal Hotel to join in the 4 day weekend event.
Zana came from the far Northeast corner of Türkiye, when asked about his experience he said, “I have never been to Kocaeli and was little bit worried about traveling to here. I decided to trust the Lord with my travels, and I am glad I came.”
The weekend centered on the importance of gathering His light in their life and sharing His light with others. The conference gathered everyone for scripture study, devotionals, a service project, group activities and finished with a Fast and Testimony meeting on Sunday.

May 1st was International Worker’s Day, the YSA committee planned a service project to give thanks to the workers at the hotel. Each YSA watercolor painted a couple gift cards to express their gratitude and presented gift bags to all the employees.
When asked what her favorite part of the conference was, Ruvarashe, a YSA planning committee member stated, “Honestly, every part of it was the best for me, meeting everyone, both old and new YSAs, the time we spent together…everything was just so special. It was such a beautiful and uplifting experience all around.”
